Three illustrations with the theme of nursing and health care of sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQ+).
BRIEF The three illustrations were commissioned by Minna Laiti (UTUGS doctoral candidate) for their PhD thesis that focuses on the topics of sexual and gender diversity in current school nursing practices in junior high school. The illustrations consist of one group image of junior high school students, one image depicting a good experience and one an unpleasant experience with the school healthcare.
The illustrations highlight the experiences of sexual and gender minority youth have with school health care and work as a visual aid for how sexual and gender diversity could be discussed in the junior high school nursing.
The illustrations were used in lectures, public speaking presentations and an article in Terveydenhoitaja publication.
