Carbon Negative Icon

What does carbon negative look like?

BRIEF “Carbon negative” needs an universal symbol that makes the conversation around climate solutions of the future more tangible. The icon should have the potential to be as recognisable as the peace or heart symbol.

The icon is inspired by our planets natural carbon capturers: plants. For example forests are a significant carbon sink. The C- (C minus = carbon negative) flipped on it’s side is combined with two leaves to make a flower. The simple yet recognisable elements form a new symbol.

The icon represents the shining beacon of hope amongst the grim climate conversation: we have everything we need to save our planet.
